Opened doors 1896. The chosen site for the meatworks was 220 acres at Parsons Point, almost 2 mile south east of Auckland Point and the Queensland Government advanced a 22,000 pound loan. Go past 38 Brisbane Street, Barney Point to where Meatworks and Boarding House were located.
